This week the BBC dedicated an episode to the story behind Otsimo and the current state of special needs education for autistic children in Turkey. Zafer Elcik designed Otsimo app for his autistic brother. Among the distinctions Otsimo has won is that of the Global Finalist Award at the Berkeley Global Social Venture Competition and the best autism app badge by the Autism Parenting magazine. It was also nominated for the Best Social Impact award category at 2018 Google Play Award.
