A new app for iOS, “El sueño (The dream) – Hablando con el arte (Talking with art)” was designed especially for kids with autism and contains a combination of activities and exercises, based on the artistic creativity of people with intellectual disabilities. Based on the painting “The Dream” by Franz Marc, the application has been designed for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), but can be fun and useful for all children. “El sueño – Hablando con el Arte” brings children into contact with the world of art, through play and creativity. They can paint, sing, read, listen to music, record videos and play with the concept of light.
The project has been developed together with Argadini Association, Adapta Foundation and Orange Foundation (Spain) and with the collaboration of The Thyssen Bornemisza Museum. The application is part of the program “Talking with art”, that brings people with autism closer to the world of art and culture, through emotional education and creativity. Starting with visits to different museums and creative jobs on perception, “Talking with art” tries to teach without cunng down on content, gradually feeding the learning needs of the students and their curiosity of the universe so that to a great extent it requires, in abstraction, the imagination and the absence of prejudices at the time of interpretation, opinion and work.
“El sueño (The dream) – Hablando con el arte (Talking with art)” is currently only available in Spanish and for iPad.
