This short article summarised the special issue in Research in Autism Spectrum Disorders (RASD) arguing for digital technology to promote inclusion (more autism-friendly environments) over integration (supporting the autistic person to adapt, e.g., social skills training). Look up is a term created in the context of Digital Bubbles seminar series that brought together a range of researchers, professionals and members of the autistic community. The main axes of the work are:
- Inclusion vs integration => integration vs social inclusion
- Benefits of participatory design
- Embodied forms of experience by the means of technology
