App4Autism provides visual tools to help children and teenagers with autism and/or ADHD organise their schedule and live more independently. It can be used to assist their families and teachers as well.
Components of the app
- Timer: This component capitalises on the visuo-spatial ability of autistic people and provides flexibility in customising and editing by allowing the user to add photos and audio.
- Visual Planning: It is a visual agenda divided in daily, weekly and monthly planning
- Token Economy: A flexible behavioural programme motivating the person to perform a skill independently and to increase the frequency of appropriate behaviour.
The app is available for Android devices and supported in Italian, Vietnamese and English
