From the creators of the Endless Alphabet and Sesame Street’s “Monster at the End of This Book and Another Monster…” Endless Alphabet is an app that aims to help kids/learners with reading.
Endless Alphabet includes “sight words”, the most commonly used words in school and children’s books. Children/learners need to identify these words by sight in order to achieve reading fluency. It is suggested that recognising sight words is advantageous for beginning readers as many of these words have unusual spelling, cannot be sounded out using phonics knowledge, and often cannot be represented using static pictures.
Each word features an interactive word puzzle with letters that come alive, and then a sentence puzzle with words that become what they describe (i.e. you will see the word “dog” as a barking dog, and the word “up” reach for the sky)
The app is available in English and can be downloaded for both iPad/iPhone here and Android here.
